As the rainy season starts, the incidence of conjunctivitis increases because of contamination of eyes with rainy water or conaminated hands.
HOW TO AVOID THIS?
1. Wash your hands properly whenever you find that hands are dirty.

Glaucoma

GLAUCOMA
Glaucoma is blinding disorder which progresses slowly and vision decreases from the side. Important contributory factor is rise in intra-ocular pressure (IOP) which eventually compresses optic nerve and nerve fiber of optic nerve get damaged and resultant loss of function. Visual loss is so slow that the person can not perceive its progress. So it is highly recommended that all individuals should undergo eye test by an ophthalmologist at the age of 40 years, as this is the common age of occurrence. Heredity also plays a role, so those who has family history of glaucoma should have to go for frequent check ups at regular interval.
